Entry Requirements

This role would suit a College leaver or someone who has already started/completed an Apprenticeship. You must have an interest in either Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Construction, Plant or Agricultural Machinery.

We are a small local company that provides vital/responsive engineering services to wide variety of customers and equipment. If you are interested in how machines work, and how to fix them when they go wrong, then you would make a good candidate. The work can be hard, complex, out in all weather and environments, but very rewarding.

Driving licence: Full or Provisional. HGV, Fork Lift, or Other Equipment Licences/Qualifications an advantage.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Service Engineer role is to provide on site customer support. You must have a wide range of skills and disciplines to enable you to complete the tasks required. As a trainee Service Engineer, you will be required to work along side other Service Engineers, to gain experience and practical knowledge. Once you have reached a satisfactory level of experience you will then be able to attend breakdowns, carry out servicing and repairs, to a highly competent level.

Duties will include:

  • To gain the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently maintain and repair Agricultural, Plant, Commercial Vehicle, Recycling, Construction, industry’s equipment.
  • To successfully complete the Apprenticeship to be able to qualify to become a Service Engineer.
  • To present a professional image at all times.
  • To carry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy.
  • To contribute to overall success of the company through teamwork and good communication within the company.
  • To carry out any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the Apprenticeship.
